I-Core and Energy Edge + Glass Spacer System

The Energy Edge Plus glass spacer system reduces thermal transfer around the glass perimeter by utilizing a unique U-shaped channel to separate glass panes and interrupt the natural flow of heat to cold.

Most spacer systems used four separate pieces of aluminum joined together by corner keys. Energy Edge Plus is one continuous piece creating a stronger insulated glass unit that flexes with glass expansion and contraction to ensure a strong seal for the life of the window.

The Benefits of Low-Emissivity (Low-E) Glass Systems - Less Transfer of Heat

Hi R+Plus® and MaxuusTM glass systems detect and block radiant heat – keeping it in your home during the winter, and out of your home during the summer. We fill our insulated glass units with heavier-than-air inert argon gas which is about 40% denser than air* to resist the transfer of heat. The result is increased energy efficiency and decreased utility expenses.

Reduced Condensation

With Hi R+Plus and Maxuus glass systems, window condensation is virtually eliminated. You can maintain higher interior humidity increasing comfort while reducing utility bills.

Enhanced Sound Control

Combined with the noise absorbing qualities of multi-chambered vinyl frames and R-Core insulation, Hi R+Plus and Maxuus glass systems reduce exterior noise up to 300% better than single pane windows.

Enhanced Protection

UV energy is the primary component responsible for fading of furnishings and overall deterioration of fabric quality. The more a window product can reject or absorb of the suns UV energy, the longer the life and quality of the furnishings being protected. The Low-E coatings in Hi R+Plus or Maxuus 7.6 helps to block this harmful UV energy.

Combines two lites of Low-E glass and an insulation chamber of argon gas. The 7/8” dual-surface multilayer vacuum-deposition Low-E glass units with argon gas makes these windows nearly five times more energy efficient than single pane glass.

Is a triple pane assembly combining two lites of multilayered vacuumdeposition Low-E glass with an interior glass substrate which provides two insulating chambers of argon gas. The result is nearly six times more energy efficient than single pane glass.
